TEMPERATURES in the UK are set to hit 30C this week, making September one of the hottest on record.
Most parts of the country will experience spells of warm weather over the next few days, the Met Office said.
Forecaster John Griffiths said “much of England and Wales will be dry warm and sunny if not even locally very warm” by Monday afternoon.
The weather will still be warm on Wednesday, with highs of 27 or 28 forecast, but at the weekend temperatures are set to drop to the low 20s.
The hot weather comes as the new rule of six was introduced in England today – meaning it will be illegal to meet in groups of more than six people indoors and outdoors.
