A 26-year-old man is fighting for his life after suffering multiple stab wounds as London‘s bloody New Year continues.
The Met Police were called to the scene in Forest Gate, East London, at 2.15pm today.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.
London’s Air Ambulance rushed the victim to hospital following the stabbing in Forest Gate
The victim remains in critical condition in hospital.
Police attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.
Officers from North East Area Command Unit are investigating.
Today’s stabbing comes after a 51-year-old father was fatally stabbed in front of his son on a train to London from Guildford.
Lee Pomeroy had been heading to the capital with his 14-year-old son for a day out when the deadly incident happened. Today would’ve been his birthday.
A 35-year-old man was arrested at an address in the Farnham area on suspicion of his murder.
