A mystery celeb, storm damage and Holly’s fall – 9 things to watch for in I’m A Celebrity launch

I’M A Celebrity returns this evening with ten terrified stars preparing to embark on the most challenging experience of their careers.

But make sure you watch out for these big moments, including spotting secret signing Noel Edmonds and Holly Willoughby’s epic fall.

Ant McPartlin’s absence

Ant McPartlin is missing I’m A Celebrity for the first time ever this year and it’s likely his best pal Declan Donnelly will pay tribute to him[/caption]

For the first time ever, Dec’s co-star Ant will be missing the series after taking an extended break from the spotlight.

Dec has previously referenced Ant’s absence and famously joked about flying solo when he presented their hit show, Saturday Night Takeaway, without him.

And seeing as tonight’s first show also falls on the date of Ant’s 43rd birthday, it’s likely Dec and his co-star Holly Willoughby will give the TV star a shout out.

The celebrity teams

The celebrity teams are decided tonight, with Sair Khan and John Barrowman heading up the reds[/caption]

From the off tonight, the stars are split into two different teams.

The captains of each founding team are all the most competitive and will be pushing their co-stars to their limits.

On the red team, John Barrowman and Saira Khan are tasked with leading their fellow celebs.

And Rita Simons and James McVey are announced as leaders of the yellow team.

If they complete their challenges, they get to select which stars they want joining them.

A record breaker

First up is this terrifying task which breaks the show’s record for the highest ever climb[/caption]

This year bosses have pulled out all the stops to make the Bushtucker Trials more terrifying than ever.

And their first task tonight, which pits the yellow team against the reds, sees the stars climbing up a frame built over an enormous cliff edge.

The location is shrouded in controversy, after it was revealed as a notorious suicide hotspot.

Holly and Dec’s on air chemistry

Holly Willoughby has admitted she’s terrified of everything in the jungle – and Dec will no doubt be going all out to wind her up[/caption]

They’ve been good friends for years and Holly and Dec have already promised to be a riot on screen.

But with Holly notorious for breaking into fits of giggles on This Morning, it’s likely Dec will be going all out to wind her up during this year’s series.

And if you couple that with her fear of every critter the jungle has to offer, we’re sure it won’t be long until she has a mid-air scream.

The aftermath of the storm

The stars are in for a very wet welcome after a super-storm hit their camp

Earlier this week, The Sun exclusively revealed how a super storm was due to hit the camp.

And the deluge, which happened on Friday, has almost destroyed the perfectly made hammocks – just in time for the celebrities’ arrivals.

Pictures revealed by us show the camp completely soaked following the downpour of rain.

But how will the celebrities cope with their very soggy surroundings?

As well as pushing the stars to their limits during the Bushtucker Trials, ITV bosses have upped the ante when it comes to the celebrity arrivals.

While Holly and Dec turn up to meet the stars in a plush speedboat, a number of celebs will be dropping into the camp from 20,000 feet.

Emily Atack is one of the first stars to take the leap and parachute out of a plane – but who will be joining her?

Holly’s epic fall

After trying to evade critters and anything that moves, Holly ended up taking an almighty tumble during filming.

The 37-year-old burst out laughing after she tripped over during one of the tasks, with Dec left in hysterics.

Pictures obtained by The Sun showed Holly’s good humour after the tumble but it’s unknown whether bosses will air the moment tonight.

The invasion of the critters

As well as being very wet, viewers need to watch out for the infestation of  creepy crawlies this year

After the super storm – and recent bad weather in Springbrook National Park – this year’s stars have more than just soggy bedding to worry about.

The Sun exclusively revealed how the deluge of rain had seen an infestation of blood-sucking leeches into the camp.

And if that wasn’t enough, enormous earthworms have invaded the camp.

Noel Edmonds and the final secret celebrity

Viewers also need to keep an out for Noel Edmonds and the twelfth secret signing[/caption]

Tonight’s episode will show the ten confirmed stars entering camp for the first time.

But Noel Edmonds is being held back and will enter the camp late, just like every other year.

It’s still not known when the Deal Or No Deal star will make an appearance or whether he’ll pop up during tonight’s tasks.

And the final signing is still to be revealed, so fans should watch out for any familiar faces lurking in the background.

I’m A Celebrity stars tonight at 9pm on ITV.
