Craving his mum’s attention, the little lad is seen reaching his arms up towards her while she tries to carry on.
At one point he seems to realise he’s being naughty – as Ryan flashes a cheeky grin to panicking producers behind the camera.
Mum Courtney, who covers national security for the network, tries to gently shoo him out of shot.
She manages to continue on with her report on the serious Turkey-Syria situation breaking out in the Middle East.
Excuse me, my kids are here… live television
But she can’t help but smile as her son continues to crash her straight-laced news report.
Courtney then says: “Excuse me, my kids are here… live television” – before the screen cuts to a map of Syria and Turkey.
She later explained “breaking news in Syria didn’t line up with preschool drop-off”, so she had to bring her 4-year-old and his twin brother to work.
