Case Benalla : the Elysee denies the 180 000 euros of work to its housing

The Elysée palace denied on Monday evening that the work be considered to combine two apartments to house Alexander Benalla in a dependency of the palais, the quai Branly in Paris, as advanced by The Express. According to the weekly, a budget of 180,000 euros have been planned in order to combine two apartments and a duplex, with a surface area of nearly 200 square meters.The ex-collaborator of Mr Macron has declared himself to be domiciled for the July 9, in a dependence of the Elysée, the quai Branly, according to The World.

A complete renovation of four apartments

Alexander Benalla “has never lived on the site of the Alma”, indicated to AFP a spokesman of the Elysée palace. The presidency confirms the existence of a “request for accommodation” that has been “accepted in the course of the year 2018”; and housing that Mr. Benalla “never occupied”. “In November of 2017 it has been decided for the site of the Alma of a complete renovation of four apartments,” which were “in bad condition”, according to the spokesperson who “denies” the meeting of two apartments as well as figures “inaccurate”.
