DISCOUNT supermarket Aldi claims it’s created the PERFECT beef burger patty for BBQs this summer.
The chain has spent a year tweaking the recipe for the burgers, which are sold in packs of two for £2.49.
The patties are a cheeky rip-off of M&S’s “best ever burgers,” which the posh supermarket started selling last year.
But at £3.50 for two, these are 99p more expensive than Aldi’s cheeky copycat version.
The discount chain’s Specially Selected Perfect Burgers are made with prime cuts of British beef and the mince contains bone marrow for extra meaty flavour.
The patties come with a roasted onion and porcini mushroom seasoning too.

Funnily enough, M&S’s “best ever” burgers also contain bone marrow.
Aldi’s patties – which are available in stores only – work out at £1.25 per burger.
It’s quite expensive for a single patty, and you can buy burgers cheaper elsewhere, of course.
You can buy four quarter pounder beef burgers for £1.97 at Asda.
Meanwhile, you can buy a pack of eight frozen patties for just £2.50 at Tesco, which works out at just 31p per burger.
But Aldi says it’s luxury burgers are worth paying more for.
More on Money
They’re on sale now – and just at the right time.
Aldi is launching a garden-themed Specialbuys range on Thursday which includes a £60 outdoor log burner.
It’s also selling a pop-up gazebo that’s perfect for garden parties.
In addition, the discount supermarket is also selling a much cheaper copy cat big green egg BBQ that usually costs more than £1,000.
