He is now fighting for a £9m severance package, with Chelsea wanting to cut part of his payout following the Diego Costa text message scandal.

And now the 48-year-old has now been spotted for the first time since he was sacked by Stamford Bridge chiefs two-weeks-ago.

Conte was seen lying on a sun lounger as wife Elisabetta Muscarello gave him an affectionate and playful arm around the shoulder.

He was also spotted walking along the sandy beach in Bergeggi, Italy, looking downbeat despite the stunning weather.

He said: “I would like to thank all of my friends at Chelsea Football Club for their hard work and support over the past two seasons which enabled us to win the Premier League and FA Cup together.

“To the players, whose talent and commitment was so important to our successes, I thank them for everything. It has been a pleasure working with them every day.
