Michael Barrymore’s famous catchphrase almost came back to haunt him as he prepared for the latest series of Dancing On Ice.
Indeed, it was very much a case of ‘are you all right at the back’ as the uncertain former presenter practiced his skating skills, shortly after signing up for the hit show.
Barrymore, 67, threatened to fall on his backside after taking to the ice with professional skaters Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean.

With the legendary figure skating champions on either side of him, Barrymore looked far from confident as they helped him maintain his balance.
After a shaky start, the presenter was later seen sharing a joke with Torvill and Dean as they discussed his progress.
The legendary presenter was the second star confirmed to be taking part, as he was announced on This Morning.
He said in a pre-recorded video: ‘I’m delighted to say that I’ll be joining the Dancing on Ice line up for 2020.
‘I’m looking forward to meeting Holly and Phil. I’m very excited…it’s performance time!’

Just hours after Caprice was confirmed as the 12th and final and celebrity set to take part in the 2020 series, she was also seen heading to the rink for the first day of training with legends Torvill and Dean.
She was joined by Love Island‘s Maura Higgins who held out her arms to stay upright, while Michael Barrymore needed some help as he made his first move on the rink.

Maura has joined the show just two months after she exited the Love Island villa, and is currently still happily dating Curtis Pritchard.
Her involvement on the show was confirmed on This Morning last week, as she emerged from an oversized white coat in a snowglobe.

Maura said on the show: ‘I’ve skated once in my life for fun, so I’ve no experience at all. I’m up for the challenge.
However, the star did admit she is nervous about performing the headbanger move on the ice, which involves a skater being picked up by the ankle and spun around by their partner.
‘[The headbanger] is what frightens me. I’m more excited than scared. I’m competitive so I think that will drive me.’
The contestants have not been paired with their professional dance partners yet but Maura admitted she’s hoping to someone who will crack the whip.
