ARSENAL have reportedly been joined by Everton in the race for Getafe star Djene Dakonam.
Spanish outlet Marca claims the 27-year-old defender could be heading to the Premier League after a great season in La Liga.
Dakonam starred at the heart of Getafe’s back-line as they conceded just 35 goals – 11 less than Real Madrid and one less than champions Barcelona.
The minnows secured an impressive fifth-place finish, just two points off a Champions League spot.
And Dakonam is now set to land a big-money move after Getafe slapped a £30million price-tag on him.
Arsenal are believed to be extremely interested in the Togo ace.
But his asking price is currently deterring Unai Emery from making a bid.
And that has apparently opened the door for Everton boss Marco Silva.
The Toffees are set to lose loan star Kurt Zouma, who is wanted back at parent club Chelsea.

And Dakonam could be the man to fill the Frenchman’s boots alongside Michael Keane next season.
Phil Jagielka is also leaving Goodison Park, and Dakonam could move ahead of Colombia international Yerry Mina should he make the move to Merseyside this summer.
However, Arsenal remain keen and Emery will be hoping he can force Getafe to lower their £30m fee.
