Arsenal launch Keylor Navas bid as Real Madrid receive £14m offer for goalkeeper

ARSENAL have reportedly launched a £14million bid for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Spanish newspaper Sport claims the Gunners are targeting another shot-stopper following Bernd Leno’s dramatic drop in form under Unai Emery.

Despite an incredible run earlier in the season, Arsenal find themselves fifth in the Premier League table and three points off a Champions League spot.

They have conceded 31 goals in just 21 games, almost double that of Chelsea and Manchester City.

And it’s believed Emery has now made a move for Navas, who is out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Thibaut Courtois has finally displaced the Costa Rican as Real’s No 1.

And the 32-year-old is believed to be keen on a fresh start after guiding Los Blancos to three consecutive Champions League titles.

However, the report adds that Arsenal face tough competition from Roma, who are sixth in Serie A.

Meanwhile, Mesut Ozil’s agent has dismissed claims that the German could quit North London this month.

Dr Erkut Sogut said: “Mesut is 100 per cent committed to Arsenal. He loves the club, shares its values and does not want to be anywhere else.”
