DANI CEBALLOS beamed his full Premier League debut was one of the “most special” days of his life.
The on-loan Arsenal star put in a stunning man-of-the-match performance as Arsenal beat Burnley at the Emirates yesterday.
Spaniard Ceballos – who joined the Gunners from Real Madrid for the season – set up both goals for his new side, firstly for Alexandre Lacazette and then for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
And the 23-year-old was understandably delighted with his day’s work.
Speaking to Arsenal.com, he said: “The most important thing in football is to win.
“When you have a great game and can help the team to get the victory, you feel satisfaction to know that you’re going home calmly and with the work done.
“The truth is that for me it has been one of the most special days of my life.
“I think that by starting at home with a win, and with this passion shown at the end of the match, I think it will be hard for me to forget this day.”
The confidence they have in me, I want to return it to them with my performances.
Ceballos, who signed for Real Madrid in 2017 after impressing at Real Betis, is determined to prove his worth with a successful year in North London.
He added: “I really want this year to truly demonstrate the football that I have inside.
“I have a lot of enthusiasm for this season and to be able to give a lot of joy to this club.
“The confidence they have in me, I want to return it to them with my performances.”
And Ceballos’ performance did not escape the attention of manager and fellow Spaniard Unai Emery.
The Arsenal boss brought him off the bench at Newcastle last week but started him from the outset yesterday – and is impressed by his versatility in midfield.

Emery said: “With him, it’s for us to use his qualities in the best position in our team with our ideas.
“I spoke with him – before coming here – to play like an eight and a 10.
“Today he started like a 10, but a lot of times he was changing with Willock into the eight position, where he can feel better on the pitch.”
