ARSENAL are ready to make a move for Roma midfielder Steven N’Zonzi this summer with the World Cup winner reportedly available for under £20 million.
Aaron Ramsey’s departure to Juventus is set to leave a big gap at the heart of the Gunners’ midfield, and his free transfer won’t even contribute any funds to signing a replacement.
In January, Unai Emery acted by bringing in Denis Suarez on loan from Barcelona but the Spaniard has hardly played, coming off the bench six times with zero starts so far.
Therefore N’Zonzi appears well placed to be the next incoming midfielder, according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
They claim Monaco are also in for the Frenchman with Roma intending on recouping as much of the £23 million they spent on him as possible.
That means he could be available for around £19 million.
Roma have endured a turbulent season with director of football Monchi – previously wanted by the Gunners – heading back to Sevilla despite only swapping La Liga for Serie A last summer.

Eusebio di Francesco was sacked last month after the Lupi were knocked out of the Champions League by Porto and their involvement in next season’s competition is in doubt.
They sit sixth in the table ahead of Saturday’s visit of Udinese, a point outside the qualification places.
A top-four finish, or lack of, could be vital in N’Zonzi’s future with the former Stoke and Blackburn man having a Europa League title already under his belt while playing with Emery in Seville.
