Bookies reveal full list of most likely January transfers after failed deadline day deals

THE transfer window has now closed with Premier League clubs splashing out over £1.1billion on new signings.

Manchester City made the most expensive addition during the window, with Jack Grealish costing £100m from Aston Villa.

But there were plenty of other money-spinning deals with Romelu Lukaku, Jadon Sancho and Ben White all costing a small fortune.

But not EVERY deal could be concluded and some will have to wait the 121 days until the January window opens.

Here, SunSport takes a closer look at SIX of the most likely January transfers, according to odds supplied by bookmakers Betfair.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles – 5/4

Betfair think Ainsley Maitland-Niles is the most likely player to leave his club in January at odds of 5/4.

The 24-year-old looked destined to join Everton on deadline day having expressed his desire to leave on social media.

However, Arsenal deemed Everton’s loan deal that included an option to buy to be too low and blocked the move.

To leave in January

Betfair odds

  • Ainsley Maitland-Niles – 5/4
  • Callum Hudson-Odoi – 6/4
  • Adama Traore – 7/2
  • James Rodriguez – 4/1
  • Erling Haaland – 5/1
  • Kylian Mbappe – 5/1

Callum Hudson-Odoi – 6/4

Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi is available at 6/4 to leave Stamford Bridge on loan or a permanent deal in January.

The 20-year-old has been an unused substitute in Chelsea’s opening three Premier League games.

But Thomas Tuchel and Co were still unwilling to sanction a loan move to Borussia Dortmund.

Adama Traore – 7/2

Tottenham tried and failed with a £30million bid for the rapid Spain international.

Wolves are demanding upwards of £50million for the 25-year-old.

Traore will have 18 months left on his contract in January and the Midlands club may have to consider selling. He’s 7/2 to get a move.

James Rodriguez – 4/1

Colombia icon James Rodriguez remains an Everton player despite being tipped to follow Carlo Ancelotti out the door.

Reports claimed he could be taken back to Porto, as part of a swap deal involving Colombia international Luis Diaz.

The deal didn’t come to fruition – but he’s 4/1 to leave the Toffees this winter.

Erling Haaland – 5/1

The Norwegian star is inching closer to a Borussia Dortmund exit.

It is widely reported Haaland has a release clause of between £75 million and £100m which can be triggered in the summer of 2022.

But with so many clubs showing interest – perhaps one will pay a higher fee in January to secure his signature.

Kylian Mbappe – 5/1

January could be PSG’s final chance to get a fee for their superstar striker.

Mbappe’s contract expires in June 2022 and he’ll be eligible to walk away on a free transfer.
