Boozed-up Boxing Day revellers get very merry at fancy dress party with Christmas season in full swing

REVELLERS in fancy dress braved the cold weather in Wigan for the town’s strangest holiday tradition – the Boxing Day dress up.

Fairy Tales and Netflix-inspired get ups competed with the classic policeman and army outfits, and there was barely an Xmas character in sight.

From Orange is the New Black to The Handmaid’s Tale, there was no shortage of TV inspired group outfits.

Others plucked for classics, including police, army, and Where’s Wally.

Iron Man made multiple appearances, alongside other superheroes, ranging from Wonder Woman to Bat Girl.

Meanwhile Three Blind Mice competed with Alice in Wonderland for the best fairy tale inspired outfit on show.
