BREXIT negotiator Olly Robbins and his team ran up a £140,000 bill for travel and hotels in three months, government figures reveal.
The officials have been locked in long-running discussion – mostly in Brussels – trying to find a breakthrough in the run-up to the historic Commons defeat when the deal they secured was rejected by 230 votes.

Best for Britain boss Eloise Todd said: “This is a huge waste of money.
“In the short space of three months, the government spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on travel and accommodation to negotiate a deal that was defeated by an historic margin.
“It makes no sense to carry on spending like this when there are plenty of other priorities.”
'Stitch-up threatens Brexit'
BREXIT is under threat from an “Establishment stitch-up”, Eurosceptics have been warned.
Labour’s Yvette Cooper has teamed up with Tories Oliver LEtwin and Nick Boles to delay the process and bind the government to staying in the EU customs union.
But a Thersa May ally warned: “They Brexit ultras are so busy talking about Number 10 conspiracy theories they fail to see the Establishment stitch-up that’s coming towards them like a juggernaught.
“These three MPs have been to Brussels and have big business on their side working together to trap us in the EU institutions.
“While they argue about the brand of Brexit they want, the Establishment are plotting to destory everything they have worked for.”
