CADBURY fans are fuming as their 3D Christmas advent calendars have contained two mini Fudge chocolate bars in just five days.
They’ve likened it to Bounty-gate, which saw Celebrations fans go coco-nuts over Bounty bars being behind the first two doors of their chocolate calendars.
The 3D Santa’s Workshop advent calendars from Cadbury are supposed to contain Freddo, Chomp, Curly Wurly, Fudge, Dairy Milk and Buttons bars – and some shoppers paid £10 for them.
But customers have been left disappointed by what’s been behind the five doors they’ve opened so far.
One person tweeted the following alongside a picture of a Fudge: “Another day, another Fudge”.
While someone else wrote: “Two fudges in five days is unacceptable! Everyone knows they are the poor relation of the Cadbury family.”
Someone else added: “@CadburyUK advent calendars are and will always be an absolute joke. Four days in and I’ve had two stinking Chomps, a Fudge and a Curly Wurly.”
Another person commented: “Everyone moaning about the Bountys in their Celebrations advent calendar and yet day four of the Cadbury selection advent calendar there’s been two Chomps, one Fudge and one Curly Wurly… I’m only here for the Freddo’s”.
Another unhappy person added: “Today’s already going bad and I opened my advent calendar to a Fudge, so what now?”
For someone else, it’s not the Fudge they’re unhappy about but the Chomp. They wrote: “@CadburyUK Ive got your advent calendar, I’m on day four and I’m on my third Chomp, what is this??? Same level as Bounty.”
And another person agreed adding: “@CadburyUK Really disappointed children!! Yesterday my daughter didn’t have a chocolate in her calendar… her sister has the same calendar (it was a Chomp).
“Today my other daughter opens her calendar to find there is no chocolate in hers!!! Also it has been Chomp two days in a row!!”
But too many Fudge bars and Chomps isn’t the only problem as lots of people with Cadbury’s 3D calendar are still complaining that there’s no chocolate at all behind their doors.
It comes after The Sun first reported the problem earlier this week with Cadbury’s Dairy Milk and Heroes calendars too.
Other shoppers say they were promised stickers with their 3D calendars that have yet to materialise.
One unhappy shopper wrote: “@CadburyUK not good, no chocolates in doors one and two of this advent calendar, got a Fudge today but that’s it so far tut tut tut.”
Another wrote: “@CadburyUK Hello, my daughter has been super excited to open up her stickers and chocolate 3D advent calendar… but as yet we’ve had no stickers. Where are they hiding?!”
Someone else said: “@CadburyUK missing chocolate from your advent calendar… thought they were meant to be full of joy, not disappointment.”
Another person also highlighted the lack of stickers tweeting: “@CadburyUK My 3D advent calendar says ‘chocolates and stickers’ inside. All good on the chocolate front, but when/ where do we find the stickers?”
Someone else added: “@CadburyUK What an absolute swizz, £10 for an advent calendar and there’s no chocolate in it!!”
And another person said: “@CadburyUK where are the stickers in my 3D advent calendar!”
A Cadbury spokesperson said: “We’re sorry to hear about the issues some of our fans are facing with chocolate missing from inside the Cadbury Dairy Milk Advent Calendar, the Cadbury Heroes Advent Calendar and Cadbury Dairy Milk Santa’s Workshop Advent Calendar, and would like to reassure people that quality is of paramount importance to us.
“We encourage any customers who have received an advent calendar that is not up to standard to speak to our customer care team as soon as possible.”
