So it comes as no surprise that she would hit the red carpet in a fabulous floral ensemble.

The 25-year-old rapper looked pretty in a patterned Dolce & Gabbana dress as she hit the red carpet at the 2018 American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

No doubt she turned heads as she rocked a flowy frock featuring a thigh-high split along with a huge matching headpiece. 

It was a very intricate look which featured a corset-like top and large skirt  with a slit to show off her left leg complete with a strappy black heel with a pink flower on it.

Her intricate headpiece as well as dress was adorned with artificial flowers sewn into them.

Cardi was not alone on the red carpet as she was joined by husband Offset who is one-third of the platinum-selling hip-hop group Migos.

The happy couple – who welcomed their first daughter Kulture Kiari  three months ago – weren’t shy to pack on the PDA as they shared a kiss together on the red carpet. 

The 26-year-old Bad And Boujee hitmaker – real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus – looked dapper in a burgundy suit.

He also sported a black and white striped dress shirt with several of the top buttons undone along with black dress shoes featured a silver embroidered design at the toebox.

She impressively beat out Drake and Post Malone in the hotly-contested category.

Cardi was definitely grateful for the awknowledgement as she said she was really nervous to accept the glass, pyramid-shaped award.

She also gave a special shoutout to her daughter as she said: ‘I really want to thank my daughter and not just because she’s my daughter but because when I was pregnant I was so influenced to be like “yo I gotta do this, I gotta prove people wrong.”

The Bodak Yellow hitmaker received nominations including for New Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock, Favorite Artist – Rap/Hip-Hop and Favorite Social Artist as well as Collaboration of the Year for her song Finesse with Bruno Mars.

Cardi’s performance will be her first at an awards show since welcoming daughter Kulture Kiari with husband Offset in July. She will take the stage with Bad Bunny and J Balvin to perform I Like It.
