CHELSEA’S coaching staff are claimed to have been left in the dark over the signing of Rob Green.
The Times report that keeper Green, 38, was not on the list of targets identified by the club’s scouting department.
Green spent last season on the bench as back-up at Huddersfield and signed a one-year deal with Blues yesterday.
Club director Marina Granovskaia is believed to have agreed the deal directly with Green’s agent.
Maurizio Sarri is said to have had no input in Green’s recruitment.
However, the reports says that he had no issue with the signing given that Green in unlikely to play for Blues.
