GONZALO HIGUAIN is the shortest price he’s ever been to make the move to Chelsea this month.
A leading bookmaker has slashed his odds to just 1/5 to make the move in January after a surge in bets this morning.
This is the shortest price Coral have had on this move happening, as their shortest price prior to today’s movement in the market was 1/2.
Chelsea were initially seeking a loan but Juventus have rejected a temporary move and are instead demanding a permanent £32million deal.
Higuain is currently on loan at AC Milan and he will face his parent club in the Italian Super Cup.
It’s believed they will discuss the striker’s future as Chelsea’s interest hots up.
Coral’s John Hill said: “The betting suggests it is looking increasingly likely that Gonzalo Higuain will make the switch to Chelsea in this transfer window as the Argentina international is now long odds-on to be at the Premier League club at the end of this month.”
Sarri spent one season with Higuain at Napoli during the 2015/16 campaign with the Argentine scoring a season-record 36 Serie A goals in 35 appearances.
