EARLY DOORS came fast and late under Jonjo O’Neill Jr to land the Martin Pipe as the Cheltenham Festival came to a close.
The Joseph O’Brien-trained gelding showed a superior turn of foot to gun down the hot favourite Dallas Des Pictons.
The winning trainer sad: “He’s been running in graded company all year and came back for handicaps.
“Jonjo gave him a great ride and we’re very happy.
“He’s a fantastic rider and Frank Berry said we could get him for this race so we decided to come here.
“He didn’t get the break we were looking for but went to plan B.
“It’s been a wonderful week for JP McManus.”
