CHRIS EUBANK JR will return to action on the George Groves vs Callum Smith undercard in Saudi Arabia on September 28.
Eubank Jr, 29, faces JJ McDonagh in Jeddah before Groves and Smith go to battle in the World Boxing Super Series final.
The Sussex-born fighter lost his last fight to Groves back in February in the semi-final of the series.
If for any reason Groves or Smith cannot compete in the final, he is the reserve who will step in if required.
And although the fight with Irishman McDonagh is confirmed, it is not yet known whether it will be at the middleweight or super-middleweight division.
Groves gave Eubank Jr boxing lesson when the pair met at the Manchester Arena and won with a unanimous decision.

In doing so, Groves snatched from his opponent the IBO super-middleweight belt he held since February 2017.
And McDonagh, who has a 16-4 record across middleweight and light-heavyweight, said: “I’m surprised he did not retire after he embarrassed himself against Groves.
“Eubank Jr is a fit man but he does not know how to fight hard, I’m a fighting man from a fighting family of generations of fighters. I am going to knock him out!”
Eubank Jr has recently been training in Las Vegas at the Floyd Mayweather Jr gym and the UFC Performance Institute.
He said: “I have been training hard in Vegas, and I am looking be a part of the event in Jeddah.
“I am preparing for any scenario that may present itself.”
