After 2011’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, most expected Sony to adapt the next two books in the Millennium Trilogy, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.

The new adaption, which follows Salander as she tries to rescue and exact vengence for battered women, is a sequel to David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and the second installment in the American-produced Millennium film series.
The film, which also stars Sverrir Gudnason, LaKeith Stanfield and Stephen Merchant, premiered at the Rome Film Festival October 24, and will hit theaters in the US Friday November 9.
