Cops use armed vehicles, planes & helicopters to transport & incinerate £1BILLION of drugs

 POLICE carried out a military-style operation to transport and incinerate drugs worth £1billion.

Armed vehicles, drones, a spotter plane and two helicopters were used to guard trucks carrying 17 tons of hashish and 80 million amphetamines.

The world record haul was seized by Italian cops at the port of Salerno, near Naples.

The pills, made in Syria to finance IS, were to be sold by the Mafia.

A source said: “Criminals were very upset so we couldn’t take any chances moving this amount of drugs.”
