Coronation Street fans shocked as Nick Tilsley buys Underworld in a scheme against Carla Connor

CORONATION Street fans are unimpressed with Nick Tilsley after he secretly bought half of Underworld.

The businessman – who is played by actor Ben Price in the ITV soap – shocked Carla herself tonight when he agreed to buy Peter Barlow’s share of the factory.

He appeared in the factory office just as Carla was explaining to Peter what kept her held up all day.

But fans were left fuming when Nick interrupted Carla’s declaration of love for Peter to reveal he was back in the driving seat of the business.

Long-time viewers know Nick, Peter, Carla and Leanne Battersby have been involved in a love square for years.

And with Carla’s feelings towards Peter growing back to love again recently, fans had hoped they would reunite for a happy relationship for a change.

Only their hopes were dashed as Carla tried to tell Peter she loved him tonight, but was interrupted by Nick.

One viewer said: “Noooooo Carla was about to say she still loved him, damn you, Nick!! #Corrie”

A second tweeted: “Nothing has broken me more than Carla’s face when Peter tells her that Nick has got his shares, I never want to see her this sad EVER again she deserves better. I’m broken #corrie”

Another added: “Oh no @itvcorrie now we’ll have to see #nick all the time what about peter and Carla #Corrie”

Next week Carla is going to be faced by Peter after he discovers that she has feelings for him.

Her dad Johnny Connor accidentally lets it slip in a conversation, forcing Carla to make a tough decision.

Instead of admitting she loves him, a proud Carla insists she doesn’t have any feelings for him and sends him away with a flea in his ear.

But is there hope for the pair in the future?
