EVERYONE with coronavirus could soon be given £500 by the government as it ramps up plans to get more people tested in England.
It comes after government polling found just 17 per cent of people with coronavirus symptoms are going forward for a vital test.
Ministers fear the low turn-out is because people know they will not be able to work if they test positive.
The cash push comes after Priti Patel unveiled even tougher coronavirus lockdown measures for rule-breakers.
At a press conference on Thursday, the Home Secretary announced a new £800 fine for anybody caught attending house parties, doubling for every repeat offence up to a maximum level of £6,400.
Those hosting gatherings can be hit with a £10,000 fine.
