PHILIPPE COUTINHO, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba could reportedly be axed by Barcelona after the shock defeat to Liverpool sealed their fate.
Ernesto Valverde, 55, has also been left fighting for his job after his side threw away a three-goal lead to end their Champions League dream.
Coutinho failed to impress on his return to Anfield before he was hauled off and replaced by Nelson Semedo after 60 minutes.
The 26-year-old has already been linked to Chelsea, but fans begged their club not to buy him after his “awful” performance.
He has failed to live up to expectations at the Nou Camp since he joined from Liverpool in January 2018 for an incredible £145m.
And it is understood that his spell with the Spanish giants could come to an end when this season is over.
Busquets, who has played for Barcelona for 11 years, could be the next victim of the club’s clear-out.
The 30-year-old was reduced to tears after the final whistle as he apologised for the team’s disastrous display.
He said: “I apologise. After what happened in Rome, this happened again. It’s tough to go out like this after the first-leg result.
“Liverpool have been smarter than us, they were faster. I think we had chances to score the goal we needed, but it wasn’t meant to be today.”
