THE government’s target of vaccinating 13.2 million by February 15 could be reached today.
At the Downing Street briefing, the Prime Minister said 13 million people had already had the jab, meaning the Government was ahead of the target set at the beginning of the year.
But he said two million more in the top four priority groups covering the over-70s, health and care staff and the clinically extremely vulnerable, had not been vaccinated.
Once the top four groups are vaccinated, the Government hopes that all over-50s and younger people with medical conditions will be vaccinated by the end of April.
