Dana White insists he is ‘not p****d’ Brock Lesnar opted to re-sign with WWE instead of UFC

DANA WHITE insists he is “not p****d” at Brock Lesnar for snubbing UFC and he made the right call in re-signing for WWE.

The Beast was rumoured to be heading back to the octagon for a blockbuster showdown with either Daniel Cormier or Stipe Miocic following WrestleMania 35 in April.

Former UFC heavyweight champ Lesnar was in attendance at UFC 226 last July and confronted Cormier immediately after his knockout triumph over Miocic.

UFC president White reiterated numerous times since he would love to make the fight if he could strike a deal with the wrestling superstar.

Unfortunately for fight fans around the planet it appears that dream showdown will never take place after Lesnar’s recent return to WWE’s at Money in the Bank.

But White, speaking on ESPN MMA’s Instagram ahead of the 2019 Contender Series season premiere, is adamant there are no hard feelings over his decision.

He said: “I wasn’t p****d at all. Brock had a good run here. It’s been fun.

“Listen to fight in this business you have to be 100 percent invested.

“You’ve got to be in. It’s not where his head was.

“He made the right decision.”

Lesnar has not fought inside the cage since July 2016.

But his victory over Mark Hunt at UFC 200 was later overturned after failing the USADA drug test post-fight.

Lesnar re-entered UFC’s anti-doping programme in anticipated of a comeback but now that seems unlikely to happen.

He is currently terrorising WWE’s Universal Title holder Seth Rollins after winning the MITB briefcase – guaranteeing him a shot at the championship at any time and place he desires.
