DEAN Gaffney says Patsy Palmer returning to EastEnders would be “amazing” after Bianca Jackson was tipped as one of three legendary characters to make a comeback.
The mouthy redhead played by Patsy Palmer hasn’t been seen in Albert Square since September 2014.
But after it was revealed the BBC soap is bringing back three legendary characters, Dean – who plays Patsy’s on-screen brother Robbie Jackson – has admitted he would love one of them to be her.
Speaking to The Sun Online at The Pride of Britain Awards, the 40-year-old said: “I wish it was because that would be really amazing.
“She’s living in America having a great time, I wouldn’t want to come back if I lived in America.”
New boss Kate Oates revealed three old legends will be returning to Albert Square.
The ex-Coronation Street and Emmerdale producer said the familiar faces will be making an appearance early next year.
Despite joining the BBC One soap just three weeks ago, Kate – who is known for her dark story lines and killing off big characters – said she was already making her mark.
She told the Daily Star: “I’ve only been there a few weeks but we’re already making our plans.
“We’re going to be bringing some people back. So that’s exciting.

“I haven’t made the calls yet but there will definitely be two, possibly three old faces returning.
“You’ll probably see them in the first quarter of the new year.”
Dean also revealed who he would like to see his alter ego couple up with next on the Square.
He said: “It would be nice, he had a great time with Donna but now she’s gone he’s sort of moping around the Square so it would be nice for him to get a bit of love back in his life.
“Honey would be a good character as she’s a bit ditsy like Robbie so I think it would work well.”
