It would usually set you back £70, so it’s a healthy 29% saving.

This particular Kindle is cheaper than usual because it shows some ads during use.

There are loads of great features to help you chew through books though.

For a start, there’s an adjustable front light that lets you read comfortably at night.

But it also makes it easier to view text outside.

There’s a 167-pixels-per-inch glare-free display that looks like printed paper.

And you get access to Amazon’s vast collection of Kindle-friendly books.

You can buy and download titles instantly – and some books are totally free to read.

The Kindle has enough storage to hold thousands of books at once.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can read plenty of books for free – with unlimited access to thousands of titles.

One of the biggest advantages to a Kindle versus regular tablets is battery life.

You’ll wait weeks between charges rather than hours.

It also supports Audible audiobooks: you can pair the Kindle with headphones or speakers to switch between reading and listening.
