Things get off to a tricky start when Jean, played by Gillian Wright, tries to get Sean to open up, but he bristles when he mentions his father Brian, who Sean has always blamed himself for killing when Brian suffered a brain haemorrhage after Sean punched him.

Then the pair decide to go for a walk but Jean is distraught when a clump of her hair falls out following her chemotherapy.

But things really take a turn for the disastrous when Jean accidentally cuts her leg open.

She tries to brush off the injury but Sean notices how severe it is.

But when Jean comes round, she’s in a very concerning situation.

Sean manages to call an ambulance and then calls Stacey, urging her to get to them immediately.

Realising something is seriously wrong, Stacey races to her mum and brother. Will Jean be ok?

Rob Kazinski is reprising his role as Sean after a decade away and a successful career in Hollywood.

His return comes after Jean was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and told of how she wanted to be reunited with her son.

The 35-year-old actor starred in the BBC soap for three years from 2006 to 2009 as Stacey’s brother, and it has now been revealed that a decade on
from his last appearance, he will be making a return to Albert Square for a “short stint”.

Teasing what is in store following the news of his return, he said: “Happy to be back, I have a short break between projects and Kate Oates is a superstar.

“It’s something I always wanted to do to say thank you to Sean and the show, and we have worked to fit it in in the most explosive way. I think you’ll be… entertained.”

The star insists his “best work” was on the soap, which is why he is “thrilled” to make a comeback one decade later.
