On Tuesday 30th there will be a double bill, although there is no indication of what will happen in the episodes just yet.

ITV bosses have accommodated more action from the Dales in recent weeks as the controversial teen abuse story approaches its climax.

Louisa Clein, who has a central role as paedophile teacher Maya, has said there will be “no going back” for the villain when she is finally caught abusing Jacob on the soap’s dramatic Big Night Out.

The school teacher is set to be confronted by Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh), Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade) and Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) in the upcoming scenes and Louisa has lifted the lid on how her character will react.

Maya and Jacob’s affair will be discovered next week

Discussing her state of mind after being blackmailed by Liv,  Louisa told The Radio Times: “Maya is panicking and desperately trying to regain control and selfishly thinking how she can she protect herself.

“It’s the first time she’s felt vulnerable and frightened.”

Revealing how Maya will react to finally being caught out, she revealed: “Being caught in this way means there is no going back – but it’s how she deals with that. Is she going to run away and hide? Is she going to confront it and try and defend herself? Will she get that opportunity?”

The special week of episode starts on 22nd April and will see a group go clubbing together, which will kick off a chain of events which will change their lives forever.

Last week Liv caught twisted Maya and Jacob together last week and is now blackmailing them so she can help fund her brother Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden’s surrogacy plan.

But in a twist David – Matthew Wolfenden – is also planning to propose using Val’s ring – which Jacob stole in order to pay off Liv.

Later David manages to convince a reluctant Maya to go clubbing with him and the girls, but he’s left crestfallen when she reveals she knows about the proposal and tells him not to ask her.

Poor David – who fans have slated for missing signs his girlfriend is sexually abusing teenage Jacob – is heartbroken, but it doesn’t take him long to find solace in estranged wife Tracy, and the pair share a kiss.

But Maya spots them kissing and, in a rage, ends up storming out of the club and heading back to the village where she meets up with Jacob (played by Joe-Warren Plant).

Disaster strikes for paedophile Maya when one of the girls from the night out catches her with her teenage victim.

Discussing what happens next, Louisa said: “The girls’ reaction once they all find out is complete and utter shock, then unbelievable fury. There is also the sense of guilt they have let Jacob down and been played by Maya.

“They start piecing together the previous months and suddenly it all fits. Each of them react in different ways but they all have their own personal agenda as to how they would like to deal with Maya.”
