FOOTBALL fans are worried Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has returned to Juventus training well-short of match fitness.
The Serie A season will resume on June 20 after coronavirus halted match action.
Higuain took part in a training session for Juve, who top the table by a single point to Lazio.
But as photos of the former Chelsea striker were shared around social media, football fans were less-than complimentary about how the 32-year-old looked.
One cruel comment was that he “looked like he had been on a diet of Dominoes” during the lockdown.
John Mitchell posted that he had returned “looking like Tony Soprano”.
Another wrote that he “was on lockdown socially distancing from healthy food”.
Others added that he looked like they do in lockdown, while some seemed to like him “rocking into training” with a “dad bod”.
It’s not the first time the Argentinian footballer has been teased about his size.
Back in January 2019 when he signed for Chelsea, his former AC Milan team-mates Suso and Jose Mari poked fun at how he looked in his new training gear.
Suso commented: “They could give you bigger trousers.”
After the former Liverpool man commented on Higuain’s post, Mauri then followed as he accused the Chelsea newboy of wearing an XXL training kit.

Mauri commented: “They spent all money on you, so they have no more XXL size.”
And back in 2016 Higuain back at weight critics, insisting: “Keep calling me fat, I will continue to score goals.”
And with 294 goals in 573 games so far in his career, it’s clear he doesn’t let the taunts affect his game.
