Foodie reveals her secret recipe for tiramisu-inspired overnight oats

A young fitness fanatic has revealed how to make delicious tiramisu-inspired overnight oats as a flavour-packed twist on the traditional breakfast food.

The high-protein breakfast idea was shared by the foodie behind Simply High Protein on TikTok and contains 30g of protein and 300 calories per serve. 

The recipe calls for instant oats with added protein, 20g of protein powder, instant coffee, yoghurt or cottage cheese and water.

Recipe: How to make Tiramisu Overnight Oats  

Ingredients 

1/2 cup of rolled oats

20g protein powder of choice

240 ml any liquid of choice (water)

Instant coffee 

Vanilla 

1/4 cup cottage cheese mixed with 1 tsp stevia and a dusting of cocoa powder

Method 

1. Combine all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and then top with the  cottage cheese/liquid mixture

2. Refrigerate overnight

The young woman combines the coffee, oat and water before microwaving for two minutes.

She then stirs in the protein powder and layers oat mix and cottage cheese or yoghurt into the jar.

She does two layers of each in her jar before topping the cake-flavoured dessert with cocoa powder.

The jar is then put into the fridge ‘overnight’ or for a minimum of three hours before it can be eaten.

The video quickly went viral and has been seen 1.9million times with more than 100k hitting like or leaving a comment on the platform.

The young woman from Lebanon made the video as part of a series showing off seven days of high-protein breakfasts.

Other recipes include healthy peanut butter and jam sandwiches, Nutella pancakes and lava baked oats.
