VALENTINO SUNRISE has gone close on his past two runs on turf at Lingfield and then the all-weather at Kempton.
He goes off the same mark as those efforts and has what should be a good draw. This looks a slightly easier assignment and he should go close.
Cracking Speed has shown promise and shaped as though this longer distance would suit when third at Wolverhampton last time out.
WAR EAGLE wasn’t asked too many questions on debut at Newmarket last time when running on well in the closing stages. He is beautifully bred and should improve for the experience for in-form John Gosden.
Cape Islay is another who created a good impression first-up at Nottingham last time. She stayed every yard of the extended mile and has plenty to offer.
DESERT FROST is overdue a victory this season and couldn’t have gone much closer when second at Hamilton and Ayr on his past two runs.
Decent claimer Rossa Ryan takes a valuable 3lb off today and that could just get him across the line over a suitable trip.
Handytalk hasn’t been firing over 7f and this drop in distance looks a wise move as he was second the last time he tackled this course and distance.

ISHALLAK is being stepped up in distance for this handicap debut having not been asked too many questions at maiden level. That means he starts from a favourable mark and the opposition isn’t the strongest. He should take a fair step forward.
Amanto has solid form over course and distance. He won here off 5lb lower last month before a good third off this mark last time. He looks the danger.
DOURADO blotted his Epsom copybook with a poor run here last time but his form at the track had been excellent before and he’s had a little break since that modest effort.
The handicapper has given him a little nudge down the weights, which can’t hurt either.
Veteran Pastoral Player won with plenty in hand at Brighton last time and has won here before, which gives him a chance.
FRESH TERMS got the better of Camomile Lawn in a tight finish at Chepstow last time and they should battle it out again. Both like this trip and a 1lb swing at the weights shouldn’t make a lot of difference.
Of the rest, X Rated won well at Haydock two runs ago and can be forgiven a modest effort at Doncaster last time.
ROTHERHITHE scorched away with a seller at Leicester last time and returns to handicaps from a lower mark.
That was just her second start for Richard Fahey and there could well be more to come.
This trip is ideal and the bit of give in the ground isn’t an issue.
Port Of Call won with a bit left in the tank here last time and a 5lb rise in the weights looks more than fair.
