A FRIEND of slain rapper Nipsey Hussle was gunned down in Brooklyn and refused to help cops identify his killer before dying, reports claim.
Arsenio Gravesande was one of five people shot dead in a frightening 24-hour period in New York.
He is known to be a friend of Grammy-nominated star Hussle, 33, who was killed in a triple-shooting in LA in March.
The rapper was shot dead just hours after posting a cryptic message about his “enemies”.
Gravesande, 28, was shot in the hip near Sutter Avenue and Union Street in Brownsville and was discovered at around 9.20pm lying injured on the pavement.
Cops found him after responding to a 911 call about a dispute in that area.
Gravesande, who was reportedly a member of a notorious street gang, was rushed to a nearby hospital, but could not be saved.
His cousin, Bethany Samuels, told the New York Daily News that she heard the shooting and ran to the scene, where she found Gravesande writhing in agony on the pavement.
“He kept telling me, ‘Bethany, I’m dead, I can’t breathe, I’m dead’,” she said.
“I was telling him, ‘No, you’re not dead’”.
Gravesande reportedly remained conscious during the ambulance ride to Brookdale University Hospital.
But he is understood to have refused to give any details about the identity of the attacker who shot him.
Gravesande, who once appeared in Nipsey Hussle’s music video, was purportedly a member of the G Stone Crips gang.
In 2012, he was wounded in a shooting that killed his friend, boxer Trendon Franklin.
