THE search for Brian Laundrie continues following the couple’s fight at “Merry Piglets restaurant”before Gabby Petito was last seen.
Nina Celie Angelo, of New Orleans, said she had been visiting the state with her boyfriend on August 27 when she watched on in shock as an agitated Laundrie began arguing with a waitress. Petito was with him at the time, she said.
While she said she couldn’t hear what words were being exchanged between Laundrie and the woman, she believed the spat was either over the bill or about money.
Angelo described Laundrie’s body language as “aggressive” and said that he left and returned to the restaurant around four times, continuing the conflict and even alleged that Petito came inside and apologized for Laundrie’s behavior.
The Petito lawyer later confirmed on September 21, that the body found in Wyoming was identified as Gabby and on the same day the Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue confirmed that Petito died as a result of a homicide but the cause is still pending final autopsy results.
Petito, 22, had been missing for two weeks after going on a cross-country road trip with her fiancé Brian Laundrie.
