POLICE have “exhausted” the search for fiancé Brian Laundrie after a body was found in the area of Grand Teton Park in Wyoming that is believed to be that of missing woman Gabby Petito.
In a press statement, the FBI announced Sunday that the body found in Grand Teton National Park has forensic identifiers consistent with that of missing 22-year-old Gabby Petito.
An FBI spokesperson said the bureau’s staff will hold Gabby’s family in their thoughts as they “mourn the loss” of their daughter.
“Today, the search revealed human remains consistent with the description of Gabrielle ‘Gabby’ Petito,” the FBI statement said.
Petito, 22, has been missing for two weeks after going on a cross-country road trip with her fiancé Brian Laundrie.
