The bulk of the waiting is past. Last January, HBO announced to the fans of “Game of Thrones” that the eighth and final season would be released in 2019 without stretch on the subject. On Wednesday, Casey Bloys, the director of programs of the american cable channel, has proved to be a bit more verbose in announcing to journalists during the summer tour of the Television Critics Association that the series will make its grand return in the first half of 2019.
The season 8 of “Game of Thrones” will consist of six episodes. To prevent leaks on the end as expected from this series of all the records, many purposes had to be shot. “I know that they are going to shoot multiple versions of the end that nobody really knows what it is going to happen,” said Casey Bloys last September, quoted by “The Morning Call”, before the start of the filming of the episodes. This ploy had been used for the season 7 with more or less success since many scenarios of the before-last season and episodes had been leaked on the web before their broadcast.
