Gemma has turned to skating pro Matt for advice on how to keep the weight off now her time on Dancing on Ice has come to an end.
The 38-year-old reality TV star used to burn up to 1,500 calories a time during gruelling 3 hour rehearsal sessions with Matt on the ice, and she doesn’t want to pile the weight back on when she returns to running her shop in Essex.
Matt told The Sun Online: “We are meeting on Friday to work out how Gemma can find the time and fit in around 2 hours of exercise a day, and what the exercise should be. It won’t be ice skating though – there’s not really an ice skating rink near her.”
Speaking of the extent of her weight loss, he said: “Gemma’s got her confidence back – she looks amazing. She looks in the mirror, her jumpers are too big. She had to have around 3 inches taken off her waist at the last fitting. She’s lost weight on her legs, she says her thighs don’t rub together when she walks anymore.”
Gemma has impressed her boyfriend James Argent with her weight loss and the Sun Online revealed yesterday he wants to sign up for the next season of the skating show.
Matt said: “Arg came over to thank me for the change in Gemma. She is a different person now.
“Her relationship with Arg is stronger because she has more confidence.
Gemma is more aware of carbs now, she’ll have a small lunch and a big dinner, not big both. I hope she maintains it. ”
Matt joked that he was now able to go on holiday[/caption]
