Gino D’Acampo says reading is recipe for happy family as he backs our Books For Schools campaign

THE Sun’s Books For Schools campaign is “fantastico”, says chef Gino D’Acampo.

The dad of three says that making time for reading books is as important as making time to cook, and adds: “The sight of a parent reading with a child is a beautiful vision.”

Chef Gino D’Acampo has written his first children’s cookbook ‘Get Cooking With Wiskella: Let’s Make Pancakes’

“It’s definitely something families have to work at because of all the distractions we have in the modern world.”

“I think going back to basics and making time for things such as reading together as a family is what society needs.”

Gino has written Get Cooking With Wiskella: Let’s Make Pancakes, which is out now.

It’s his first children’s book and has been written to get kids excited about cooking.

“The idea is that children can read the story and then copy the recipe,” he says.

Gino has also launched his stunning cookbook Gino’s Italian Express which follows the TV chef on his culinary journey through Italy by train.
