Grenfell Tower support worker ‘got grieving victim pregnant then forced her to have affair’

A GRENFELL Tower support worker has been accused of getting a grieving victim of the tragedy pregnant and then forcing her to have an affair.

The worker was made to resign after the alleged two-month relationship came to light.

Dozens died in a fire which tore through a West London tower block in minutes

It is believed the pair embarked on the affair after the woman visited The Curve Community Centre run by Kensington and Chelsea Borough Council – in light of the devastating blaze that killed 72 people.

The woman lost friends in the fire and the male support worker has been accused of flirting with her and then taking advantage during her time of grief, reports the Sunday Mirror.

Once she fell pregnant, he is said to have ordered her to have an abortion on the threat he would ban her from being accepted at the community centre.

Local Labour MP Emma Dent Coad has called for members of the council to be sacked as a result of the scandal.

She told the Sunday Mirror: “This is really awful. I am absolutely horrified. Who is monitoring what’s going on there? It is an absolute disaster.

“If they can’t keep people safe from their own employees – people who have come for help – they are really not doing a good job and need to step down.”

The woman is said to have ended the alleged affair when she found out the worker was also seeing another woman.

The worker is no longer employed at the community centre after the scandal was brought to bosses’ attention.
A spokesman for the council said last night: “We are aware of an issue and it has been dealt with.”
