Halloween boozers hit the streets for a VERY scary night on the tiles in Manchester

HUNDREDS of revellers donning their best Halloween costumes hit the streets last night – with many looking worse for wear by the end of it.

With the annual fright-fest due to roll around on Wednesday, many took the opportunity to get the celebrations started early.

Among those spotted out and about was a woman who appeared to take inspiration from Christopher Nolan’s Batman Scarecrow.

Other women were seen dressed as cats, covered in terrifying facepaint or devil costumes.

However, the night took a turn for the worst for some spotted stumbling over or being tended to by emergency services.

Despite this, thousands more are expected to be out partying in fancy dress again tonight in a final bid to celebrate the fright-fest.

Yesterday we showed you a series of costumes you can use to bewitch your pals and get even the undead’s pulses racing.

And getting dressed up for the occasion needn’t be costly, as the high street and fancy dress stores have plenty of cheap and fearful outfits on offer.

And we also revealed a set of five creepy cocktails which are a perfect fit for Halloween – from the Dark ‘n’ Stormy to the legendary Zombie.

These cocktails are guaranteed to leave you spooked and satisfied. And if you want to make mocktails, we’ve detailed the ingredients to swap.
