Upon spotting the prince, the young boy bursts into tears, causing the royal to put his arm on the youngster’s shoulder and ask ‘are you alright?’
The 34-year-old then turns to the young girl again and adds: ‘You really need to cheer him up.’
Shortly after, a woman standing behind the boy says: ‘We didn’t get to see the princess.’
On royal visits, it is usually customary for a royal to greet members of the public on one side of the road as the other tends to the audience across the road.
