HOME Bargains is selling bottles of “unicorn dust” scented Fabulosa disinfectant and it only costs 99p.
And if you’re wondering what unicorn dust smells like, apparently similar to retro parma violet sweets according to cleaning buffs who’ve already bought it.
Shoppers have previously dubbed Fabulosa a cheaper alternative to Mrs Hinch’s favourite disinfectant, Zoflora.
The fragrant cleaning agent does four jobs in one – helps lift dirt and grime off surfaces, promises a “long lasting shine”, kills 99.9 per cent of bacteria and “eliminates odours”.
Bottles of Fabulosa cost 99p for 220ml, compared to 99p for a 120ml bottle of Zoflora. That’s a 36p difference per 100ml.
Each bottle of Fabulosa makes 10 litres of cleaning mixture when applied to water.
The only other place we could find this scent for sale was directly from the manufacturers where a bottle will set you back £1.15 – 16p more than Home Bargains.
We ran it past the retailer who said that only a handful of stores are actually stocking the disinfectant, although it didn’t specify which ones.
To avoid being disappointed, shoppers should call ahead – you can find your nearest store using the locator tool here.
Bargain hunters who’ve spotted the cleaning product in stores have shared their finds on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.
One shopper commented on the post: “I’m on a mission for this”, while another said: “I bet they smell lush.”
Home Bargains don’t offer a home delivery service so you’ll need to head in store to get the latest sweet smelling cleaning products.
