Alyssa began by microwaving the potatoes for 14 minutes, which is an alternative to boiling the vegetables on the stove, then used a knife to chop each one in half.

A spoon was then used to remove the centre of the potatoes, leaving a skin of one to two centimetres.

The cooked potato filling can also be used as a side dish to bake potato bites.

The potato skins were placed on a lined baking tray and cooked in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.

She then flipped the skins and cooked until golden before seasoning with salt and pepper and serving with the toppings.

The easy meal recommendation quickly captured the attention of others part of the online community.

‘They look amazing! Making my mouth water,’ one person wrote.

‘Looks delicious!’ another said, while others said they will attempt to replicate the cheat meal themselves.
