The house is in a part of the Home Counties town where properties can top £500,000.

Cops have begun to probe the deaths, but have said they think it is “an isolated incident”.

It isn’t known how the pair dead or what their relationship was to each other.

Herfordshire Constabulary said in a statement no one else is being sought over the deaths.

Adding: “Police were called at 7.54am this morning (March 22) to reports of concern for the welfare of a man and woman at an address in Darrs Lane, Northchurch.

“Officers entered the property alongside the ambulance service and sadly two people inside were pronounced dead at the scene.

“The circumstances around the deaths are currently being investigated and police remain at the scene.”

Police can be seen outside the house, while forensic officers investigate what happened to the pair.
