A JAILED rock star gave up a mobile phone he’d hidden inside his body in return for a visit from his mum, a court heard.
Ex-Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins, 42, allegedly hid the device before a cell search.

But he feared the jail would stop his reunion later that day if he failed to hand it over, the court heard yesterday.
Watkins, serving a lengthy sentence at HMP Wakefield, West Yorks, reached into his pants and gave up the 3in white GTStar mobile.
A small charger was later found.
Watkins, who pleaded not guilty to possessing a mobile phone in March 2018, was rumbled after an ex-girlfriend reported he was contacting her, the jury was told.

He told police it was the phone for his wing and he was made to hold on to it by fellow cons.
The trial at Leeds crown court continues.
