JENNI Falconer has pulled out of her Heart radio show after her daughter broke her leg in a “terrible accident”.
The radio presenter, 42, revealed in an emotional Instagram post earlier today that her six-year-old Ella had been had been hospitalised.
Posting a picture of her daughter’s leg in a white cast, the TV star wrote: “Today was eventful. My gorgeous little girl was involved in a terrible accident where she came off the worst.
“Broken leg and admitted to hospital for observation. I can hand on heart say that the call to tell you that something has happened to your child is one of the worst calls you could ever receive.
“Thankfully the wonderful @nhsenglandldn have been truly amazing, cared for her brilliantly and are making sure she has everything she needs to get better.
“In our ward there are so many poorly children, far worse than Ella, it makes your heart ache seeing their parents just willing their babies to get better. If only we could start today again….”
Her followers rushed to share their sympathy in the comments section of the post, and the image soon racked up thousands of ‘likes’ in support.
Jenni, who has not revealed specifically how her daughter got hurt, usually hosts her Heart radio show on weekdays from 4am to 6am.
The TV star employed a team of builders to overhaul her house – with a brand new kitchen and incredible floor-to-ceiling windows.
Jenni has kept her fans up to date throughout the renovations which have been going on for six months.
She has completely changed the back of the house she shares with her husband James Midgley, bringing the outside in with bi-fold doors which lead onto the garden.
The star shared a video of the progress as her builders started ripping out her old kitchen to make space for the new one.
They ripped off the plaster from one back wall to leave a line of exposed bricks which have been carefully re-pointed.
