He said: “Everyone says I’d be good on TV. I like to think I’ve got a sense of humour and people tell me I’ve got a bit of character, bit of banter and can be funny.

“I’ve done some TV stuff in Singapore. I really enjoyed it.

“I think sometimes players can be retired too long, be pundits, and yet be out of touch with what goes on now in some dressing rooms or at clubs.”

Pennant is the least popular Celebrity Big Brother contestant EVER, according to bookies.

Jermaine’s “snakey” behaviour has enraged viewers  – he shared a kiss with Chloe Ayling, 21, and had been flirting with her from the get-go despite being wed to model Alice Goodwin.

Chloe claimed to be in the dark about the marriage and called Jermaine “immature” after she was evicted.

After branding him “disgusting” during her exit chat, Chloe continued her tirade during a chat with Sun Online.

Earlier in the evening,  Chloe was left in stunned silence as Emma Willis showed her footage of Jermaine revealing to other housemates that he has a wife waiting for himon the outside.

Conversely American star Kirstie Alley is the hot favourite with odds of 4/6.

Pennant claims in his memoir, Mental, that he has put his flash-harry womanising ways behind him.

He writes: “These days I’m happier going on holiday to Dubai, chilling out with Alice, enjoying some relaxing time. Honest, I really have calmed down a lot.”
